Monday, 27 October 2008 - Lebanon, NH — Every so often at our armory meeting location we arrive to find something interesting in the drill hall. Tonight we took a photo of the squadron in front of one of the National Guard's armored vehicles.

Evaluated Search and Rescue Exercise

Capt. Keen instructing c/A1C Brechbuhl on the use of the DF equipmentSaturday, 25 October 2008 - Various locations in NH — The NH Wing today participated in its biannual search and rescue evaluation. Today's exercise was similar to our usual monthly exercises but our performance was evaluated by the Air Force.

Six members from the Lebanon squadron participated and fielded a ground team out of Lebanon. We were able to get some good training with direction finding equipment, radio communications, and ground navigation.

Open House

Monday, 29 September 2008 - Lebanon, NH — Tonight we held a successful open house with a good turnout from the public.

Manuel Mather "MG" Grajeda, Parker Sorenson, and Gregory Williams received their Mitchell awards this evening marking the midpoint in the cadet career. Lebanon Mayor Karen Liot Kill, Chief of Police James Alexander, and Army National Guard Sergeant Cindy Plumber just back from Iraq presented the awards. The three cadets were also promoted to c/2Lt, the first cadet officer grade. The squadron also presented a certificate of appreciation to Sgt. Plumber for her service in Iraq.

Update: We now have 6 new cadets in our training flight.

Our next open house will be in January or February of 2009. However, if you'd like to learn more about us before then, please feel free to drop by one of our meetings.

New Cadet Commander

Monday, 11 August 2008 - Lebanon, NH — c/2Lt Connor Halpin today relinquished his position as cadet commander. Taking his place is c/CMSgt Gregory Williams.

Halpin will be attending Norwich University in the fall.

Summer Encampment

Sunday, 13 July 2008 - Northfield, VT — Two cadets from the Lebanon Composite Squadron today graduated from their first basic encampment held at Norwich University. c/A1C Bassette and c/A1C Brechbuhl both enjoyed the week and will now be eligible to participate in National Cadet Special Activities in 2009.

Freeman Promoted to Lt. Col.

Wednesday, 21 May 2008 - Concord, NH — Charlie Freeman, longtime member and former Lebanon Composite Squadron commander, was promoted tonight to Lt. Col. This is the highest grade a senior member can achieve without being appointed Wing Commander or higher.

Successful Open House

Monday, 28 January 2008 - Lebanon, NH — Thanks to everyone who helped make our open house a success. We had many visitors checking out our aircraft and van, and speaking with our cadets and senior members.

Update: Monday, 11 February 2008 — We now have a total of 6 new cadets in our Tango (training) flight.
